The general conditions and regulations of the Show also apply to this section.
Reminder for ALL CATTLE Exhibitors from Trading Standards. CATTLE must be tagged in accordance with the Cattle Identification Regulations 1998. (Failure to do so may result in the animal being sent home).
CATTLE ENTRIES will be accepted on the following basis:
· Each animal may only be entered for one Cattle Class. However, this animal may then go into a Group Class. All entries are of course eligible for Special and Championship Classes which may be offered.
· Substitute entries WILL NOT be accepted after the closing date for entries.
1. Entries are required to arrive on the Showground by 6 p.m. on Tuesday, 21st June, and must remain until 5 p.m. on Thursday 23rd June. (Exception - Commercial Beef entries to arrive before 4 p.m. Tuesday.)

2. All animals must be accustomed to being tied or haltered and exhibitors will be responsible for presenting them.

3. Where an entry is found to be entered in the wrong class it will be transferred automatically.

4. The Society reserves the right to refuse or cancel any entry or class and will automatically cancel any class in which there are insufficient entries. The Society also reserves the right to restrict entries if numbers exceed those which can be adequately dealt with.

5. Exhibitors entering cattle in more than one breed must indicate the number of stalls required per breed. All animals belonging to one exhibitor will stand in their respective breed lines.

6. All Commercial Cattle must be housed in the Commercial Cattle Lines.

7. Where cows are entered with a calf at foot the exhibitor is required to book two standings and include the Calf date of birth and ear tag details on the entry form.

8. All cattle must be paraded in accordance with the instructions of the Honorary Director and Stewards. Any Exhibitor not parading some of their cattle in the Grand Parade will forfeit their prize money.

9. Nobody under the age of 16 may be in charge of an animal in the Grand Parade.

10. Prizes will be awarded according to the number of entries forward at the time of judging.

In addition, a sum of £15 will be paid in resepect of each Dairy animal attending the Show and in the case of an animal forward in the Senior Bull class in each breed, the SUM of £25.

Please Note: In the event of low exhibitor numbers in any section or low entries catalogued, classes may be cancelled.

DRESS CODE: Smart Dress and White Smocks MUST be worn by exhibitors during judging and parades.
