3. The Society is affiliated to and classes 32, 33, 34, 36 and 38 will be judged under the 2022 British Show Horse Association rules. In Horse of the Year Show qualifiers, Horse of the Year Show rules take precedence. A copy of the Horse of the Year Show rulebook can be downloaded from www.hoys.co.uk

4. BSHA require all Owners, Producers and Riders in the Horse of the Year Show Hunter Classes to be members of the British Show Horse Association (BSHA), and all horses must be registered with BSHA

5. Entries in classes 32 to 34 may not compete in class 36 and vice versa.

6. For classes 32 to 34, competitors must enter their horses in the appropriate sections, but class 32 will be judged first, and the judges shall have the power to transfer exhibits to classes 33 or 34 if they deem necessary.

7. Qualification will not pass below 5th place. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show Office.

8. Judges may be asked to restrict riding to those entries selected for final consideration, having due regard to the judging time available.

9. In accordance with the rules of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, all competitors must wear a skull cap or hat and safety harness according to the correct approved BSI or European Standard at all times. Any competitor not adhering to this will be asked to leave the ring/class.

10. Classes 30 and 39 are to be judged under the 2022 Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain rules. SHB (GB) require ALL exhibits in Classes 30 and 39 to be registered on their Basic Identity Record or Stud Book. Owners and riders need to be current members of SHB (GB). SHB (GB) Registration Numbers to be quoted on the Entry Form for when entering these two Classes.
Day Ticket = £36 (this entitles competitors to compete at a maximum of 2 show's in the year - it covers owner and rider membership together with horse registration for that show). If the class is a qualifying class for RIHS, in order for the qualification to be valid, application for full owner/rider membership and horse registration must be received in the SHB(GB) office within 14 days.

Qualifiers:
a) Horse of the Year Show Qualifiers 2022. Held under the rules of the British Show Horse Association, however Horse of the Year Show Rules take precedence. Horses must be registered with the Association and all Owners, Producers and Riders must be Association Members. Riders must be 15 years of age or older. These classes qualify for Horse of the Year Show, NEC, 5 - 9 October 2022. BSHA Registration numbers and HOYS ID numbers must be quoted on the Entry Form for Horse of the Year Show Qualifiers. This is a Horse of the Year Show Qualifier, all data given upon entry of this class is provided to Grandstand Media Limited and stored on the Grandstand Entries System. In Classes 32, 33, 34 and 36 the first prize winner will qualify to compete at the final. If already qualified the second will qualify, if the first and second are already qualified then the third will go forward and so forth to fifth. Qualification will not pass below fifth place. In class 38 the first prize winner will qualify to compete at the final. If already qualified the second will qualify, if first and second are already qualified then the third will go forward. Qualification will not pass below third place. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office.

Horses competing at the Horse of the Year Show and qualifying shows in The Hunter sections of The Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain classes at their Affiliated Shows cannot compete in Hack, Cobs and Riding Horse classes at the same show, on the same day and vice versa. This does not apply to SHB (GB) Ridden Sport Horse classes.

b) This Show is a Qualifier for IRISH DRAUGHT HORSE SOCIETY (GB) £2,000 Ridden Challenge. The highest placed horse (not already qualified) from each of the following classes 30, 32, 33, 34, 36, 38 and 39 that is registered or eligible for registration on the Irish Draught or Irish Draught Sport Horse Registers, i.e. with a minimum of 25% proven Irish Draught breeding, will qualify for the Final of the IDHS (GB) Ridden Challenge. Horses need not be registered with the Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) to qualify, but MUST be on the IDHS (GB) registers by the time of the Championship which will be held at the IDHS (GB) Annual Breed Show in August 2022 at Onley Grounds, Rugby, Warwickshire CV23 8AJ.
NB: A horse may only qualify for the Final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered. Each Qualifier will receive a card. Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.com to inform the IDHS (GB) that they have qualified for the Final. In the Final, the Champion will be awarded £1,000 prize money and a Trophy. The Reserve Champion will be awarded £500 and 3rd to 7th will be awarded £100 each. In addition, the highest placed Pure Bred will be awarded a Trophy and £100 and the highest placed 158cm (15.2hh) and under will receive a Trophy and £50, the highest placed Sport Horse will receive a trophy and £50.


c) This show is a qualifier for the 2022 TSR NAF Five Star Showing Finals - the following classes 32, 33, 34, 36, and 38 are qualifiers. You do NOT have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter a final. The Rider/Handler qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals!
The 4 highest placed handlers/riders will qualify in each class.
Competitors MUST have their card signed by judge/steward/secretary, cards are available FREE from the TSR website.
