MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND PONIES LEAD REIN & FIRST RIDDEN Horse of the Year Show Qualifiers Judges: Conformation: Mrs F Cabrol COLCHESTER Performance: Miss V Eggleston BOLTON Conditions: 1. For Ponies please state HOYS ID numbers and the pony's Breed Society Registration Number on the Entry, (this is not their NPS/ BSPS/ UKPH /TSR number). For Owners and Riders please state HOYS ID numbers and BSPS/ NPS/ UKPH/ TSR or Breed society Registration numbers on your Entry Form. (For Horse of the Year Show ID numbers please contact Grandstand Media on 024 7685 8205) Classes 139, 140 and C141 will be judged under the Rules of Horse of the Year Show. 2. Horse of the Year Show Mountain & Moorland Lead Rein Pony of the Year Qualifier 2021. Class 139 is a qualifier for the Mountain & Moorland Lead Rein Pony of the Year, N.E.C., Birmingham, 6th - 10th October 2021. This class is open to Mountain and Moorland Mares and Geldings four years old and over registered in the main body of their respective Stud Books. Ponies not to exceed 122cm (12.0hh) however ponies must not exceed the height limits as stipulated by the relevant breed societies. Riders must have attained their 3rd birthday by the day of competition, but must not have attained their 9th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. The highest placed pony not already qualified from the first three will qualify to compete at Horse of the Year Show 2021. Riders and Owners must be members of their respective Breed Society, NPS, UKPH, The Showing Register or BSPS. 3. Horse of the Year Show Mountain & Moorland First Ridden Pony of the Year Qualifier 2021. Class 140 is a qualifier for the Mountain & Moorland First Ridden Pony of the Year, N.E.C., Birmingham, 6th - 10th October 2021. This class is open to Mountain and Moorland Mares and Geldings four years old and over registered in the main body of their respective Stud Books. Ponies not to exceed 128cm (12.2hh) however ponies must not exceed the height limits as stipulated by the relevant breed societies. Riders must have attained their 3rd birthday by the day of competition and not have attained their 12th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. The highest placed pony not already qualified from the first three will qualify to compete at Horse of the Year Show 2021 . Riders and Owners must be members of their respective Breed Society, NPS, UKPH, The Showing Register or BSPS. 4. Class 139 and Class 140 to be run under the rules of the Horse of the Year Show. Copies can be obtained from www.hoys.co.uk Marks will be awarded in the following way: Show, freedom of action: 50 maximum Breed type and conformation: 50 maximum In the case of equality, the pony with the highest show, freedom of action mark will be deemed the winner. If there is still equality at this point, then the judges' decision will be final. Qualification will not pass below 3rd place. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show Office. 5. A Special Rosette will be awarded to the highest placed Member from B.S.P.S. Area 4b in ALL Classes - Eligible competitors must wear a GREEN armband. Qualifiers: a) Horse of the Year Show 2021. Classes 139 and 140 are qualifiers for Horse of the Year Show 2021, NEC Birmingham, 6th - 10th October 2021. From each class, the highest place pony not already qualified from the first three will qualify to compete at the Horse of the Year Show. N.B. All Animals competing in Mountain and Moorland Lead Rein and First Ridden classes will be required to be in possession of a current/valid JMB height certificate within 28 days of the notification of qualification from HOYS or by the closing date of HOYS entries, whichever is sooner. Failure to do so may result in qualification of the pony being removed at the discretion of GML. JMB Certificates are not required to enter this Qualifier. b) TSR NAF Five Star Riders Championships - classes 139 and 140 are qualifiers for the 2021 TSR NAF Showing Finals. Riders can choose which Regional final they go to - Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, Wales and south West or Scottish. 1st & 2nd Riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. c) The B.S.P.S. Classic Services Group Challenge - All summer qualifying shows that are affiliated to the B.S.P.S. are qualifiers for the "The B.S.P.S. Challenge". Animals must qualify for the Challenge by attending any B.S.P.S affiliated Show and competing in the appropriate class. Ponies must not have qualified for the 2021 Horse of the Year Show in the appropriate class. d) The B.S.P.S. "Binks Family" Show Champion of Champions - This Show is a qualifier for the B.S.P.S. Binks Family Champion of Champions. The 1st prize winners of classes 139 and 140 will qualify.
