Conditions:
1. For classes 102, 103 and 104 please state HOYS ID numbers and BSPS/ NPS/ UKPH/ TSR Registration numbers for Owners, Riders and Ponies on your Entry. (For Horse of the Year Show ID numbers please contact Grandstand Media on 024 7685 8205)

2. This Show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society (B.S.P.S. 41/21) and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in B.S.P.S. Classes, whether or not members of the B.S.P.S. are subject to the Constitution and Rules of the B.S.P.S. including the disciplinary procedures and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the B.S.P.S. For Horse of the Year Show qualifiers, Horse of the Year Show rules take precedence. These can be downloaded from www.hoys.co.uk. This is a Horse of the Year Show Qualifier, all data given upon entry of this class is provided to Grandstand Media Limited and stored on the Grandstand Entries System. 3. Owners and riders must be B.S.P.S., NPS, UKPH or The Showing Register Members and the pony registered with the B.S.P.S., NPS, UKPH or The Showing Register, and a valid JMB number lodged with that society to compete in classes with qualifications for Horse of the Year Show (classes 102, 103 & 104).

4. A Special Rosette will be awarded to the highest placed Member from B.S.P.S. Area 4b in ALL Classes - Eligible competitors must wear a GREEN armband.

Qualifiers:
a) The British Show Pony Society Children's Riding Pony Horse of the Year Show Qualifier 2021, Classes 102, 103 & 104 are Qualifiers for the Horse of the Year Show, NEC, Birmingham, 6th - 10th October 2021. These classes will be run in accordance with the general rules set out in the Horse of the Year Show rulebook, a copy of which can be downloaded from www.hoys.co.uk The highest placed (not already qualified) from the first five ponies in each class will qualify. Qualification will not pass below fifth place and will be verified by Horse of the Year Show Office.
Marks will be awarded in the following way:
Manners and way of going: 50 marks maximum
Conformation, type & freedom of action: 50 marks maximum
In the case of equality, the pony with the highest manners and way of going mark will be deemed the winner. If there is still equality at this point, then the judge's decision will be final.

b) The Blue Riband Pony of the Year. The first and second placed ponies in classes 102, 103, 104 will qualify provided the pony is owned, registered and ridden by a B.S.P.S. Member.

c) The B.S.P.S. Classic Services Group Challenge - All summer qualifying shows that are affiliated to the B.S.P.S. are qualifiers for the "The B.S.P.S. Challenge". Animals must qualify for the Challenge by attending any B.S.P.S affiliated Show and competing in the appropriate class. Ponies must not have qualified for the 2021 Horse of the Year Show in the appropriate class.


d) B.S.P.S. Summer Championship Show - 1st and 2nd prize winners in classes 102 to 104, will qualify provided the animal is registered in accordance with B.S.P.S. Rules 21 and 26.

e) The B.S.P.S. "Binks Family" Show Champion of Champions - This Show is a qualifier for the B.S.P.S. Binks Family Champion of Champions. The 1st prize winners of classes 102-104, will qualify.

f) TSR NAF Five Star Riders Championships - classes 102 -104 are qualifiers for the 2021 TSR NAF Showing Finals. Riders can choose which Regional final they go to - Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, Wales and south West or Scottish. 1st & 2nd Riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring.

(These fees include a £15 Horse of the Year Show contribution)
