YOUNG SHEEP HANDLER COMPETITION

This class will take place on Thursday 20th June, after the Inter-Breed Sheep Classes.
• It is a condition of entry that children should only handle animals where they have the necessary strength and experience to cope with the said animal. Children must always be under the supervision of and accompanied by a competent adult, and the animal should match the size of the handler.
• All Lambs or Sheep must be halter trained and must have been shown in the breed classes at this Show. Handlers must be aged between 5 and 16 years old.
• Children under the age of 5 will not be allowed to compete.
• Classes will be judged on the Handlers ability.
• Handlers to be suitably dressed for the breed that they are leading.
• Entries accepted on the day, no entry fee required.
• Rosettes to all competitors.

Qualifiers:
a) This show is a qualifier for the East of England Agricultural Society Winter Stock Festival YOUNG STOCK PERSON OF THE YEAR, with the finals taking place at the East of England Showground on Saturday 30th November.
Qualifying competitors to be between the ages of 15 years and 21 years on the day of the show and be placed 1st or 2nd in the appropriate classes (classes 533 and 534).
A qualifying rosette will be provided for each competitor by the East of England Agricultural Society and a registration card which must be completed and returned by the competitor to the East of England Agricultural Society by the 1st October. You will not be eligible to compete at the Final without returning the registration card. Full details of the finals will be sent to all registered and qualified exhibitors by the East of England Agricultural Society.
