For Ponies please state HOYS ID numbers and the pony's Breed Society Registration Number on the Entry Form, (this is not their NPS/ BSPS/ PUK /TSR number). For Connemaras: ponies can be registered with either BCPS (or CPBS if in the UK for less than 30 days) but must be registered correctly as adults (i.e. not on a G3, M3 or S3 registration). For Owners and Riders please state HOYS ID numbers and BSPS/ NPS/ PUK/ TSR or Breed Society Registration numbers on your Entry Form. (For Horse of the Year Show ID numbers please contact Grandstand Media on 024 7685 8205) 2. The following classes are qualifiers for the Mountain & Moorland Ridden Pony of the Year Championship, N.E.C., Birmingham, Wednesday 2nd to Sunday 6th October 2019. This competition is open to stallions, mares and geldings, four years old and over, to be registered in, and complying with the requirements of, the main body of their respective stud books. Partbreds and mares with a living foal born during the current season are not eligible to compete. To be run as scheduled. Riders can be of any age with the exception of those riding stallions who must have attained their 12th birthday (small breeds) or 14th birthday (large breeds) before 1st January in the current year. Correct riding attire must be worn, spurs are not allowed and whips must not exceed 30". Ponies must not exceed the height limits as stipulated by the relevant breed societies. Riders and Owners must be members of their respective Breed Society, NPS, Ponies (UK), The Showing Register, or BSPS. Judges may only judge one Horse of the Year Show M&M Ridden qualifying competition during the current year and marks must be awarded as follows: Show/Freedom of Action: Maximum 50 Breed Type/Conformation: Maximum 50 The highest placed animal (not already qualified) from the first three in the final judging will qualify for Horse of the Year Show 2018, subject to verification of qualification from the Horse of the Year Show Office. Qualification will not pass 3rd place. This is a Horse of the Year Show Qualifier, all data given upon entry of this class is provided to Grandstand Media Limited and stored on the Grandstand Entries System. Please note: Ponies that qualify for this Championship at Horse of the Year Show 2019 must hold a valid JMB Full Height or Annual Certificate, a copy of which must be sent to Grandstand Media Ltd at the time of entry to Horse of the Year Show. JMB certificates are not required to enter this qualifier. 3. A Special Rosette will be awarded to the highest placed Member from B.S.P.S. Area 4b in ALL Classes - Eligible competitors must wear a GREEN armband. 4. This is a WPCS performance sire rating show. 5. A Breed Rosette to the highest placed registered pony of each breed: Welsh A, B, C, D, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Connemara, Dales, Dartmoor, Exmoor. Owners must be a current member of their respective Breed Society unless exempt and membership Cards (if issued by the Society) produced in the Ring. Qualifiers: a) Horse of the Year Show Qualifier 2019 - NPS/Baileys Horse Feeds Mountain & Moorland Ridden Pony of the Year Horse of the Year Show Qualifying Round. Classes 142-145 and 147-150 are qualifiers for Horse of the Year Show, to be held from Wednesday 2nd to Sunday 6th October 2019 at the NEC, Birmingham. The highest placed horse/pony (not already qualified) from the first three in the final judging will qualify, subject to verification from the Horse of the Year Show Office. These classes will be run in accordance with the general rules as set out in the Horse of the Year Show rulebook, a copy of which can be downloaded from www.hoys.co.uk. b) 'The Plevin Family' Supreme Ridden Mountain & Moorland Championship. The final to be held at the North of England Summer Pony Show on 7th July 2018, kindly sponsored by Simon & Sue Plevin. Prize Money at the final 1st £1000, 2nd £400, 3rd £100, 4th £50, 5th £25, 6th £25, 7th £25, 8th £25, Sashes to the Champion & Reserve, Rosettes to all other prize winners and finalists. The Champion Open Ridden M&M will qualify from C146 and C151. If the Champion has already qualified then the Reserve Champion will go forward. Only the Champion or Reserve Champion will Qualify. Challenge - All summer qualifying shows that are affiliated to the B.S.P.S. are qualifiers for the "The B.S.P.S. Challenge". Animals must qualify for the Challenge by attending any B.S.P.S affiliated Show and competing in the appropriate class. Ponies must not have qualified for the 2019 Horse of the Year Show in the appropriate class. d) B.S.P.S. Black Country Saddles Rider of the Year - The Best Rider in each of the following Open classes at all B.S.P.S. Affiliated Shows (Classes 142 to 145 and 147 to 150) will be awarded a Best Rider Card and qualify for the final at the Summer Championships Show. e) TSR Riders Championships - classes 142, 143, 144, 145, 147, 148, 149 and 150 are qualifiers for the 2018 TSR Riders Regional Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Regional Finals Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter the final. The Rider Qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals. 1st & 2nd Riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. f) Special Prizes - A Breed Rosette to the highest placed registered pony of each breed: Welsh A, B, C, D, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Connemara, Dales, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland. Owners must be a current member of their respective Breed Society and membership Cards (if issued by the Society) produced in the Ring. g) Classes 142 - 150 are qualifiers for the NPS/ Ringside Stud M&M Open Ridden National Championship, NPS/ Black Country Saddles National Championship, NPS/ Hy-Equestrian Young Rider National Championship and the NPS/ Rosettes Direct Home Produced National Championship. ENTRY FEES: LAS Members £39 Non-Members £45 (These fees include a £13 Horse of the Year Show contribution) PRIZE MONEY: 1st, £40; 2nd, £35; 3rd, £25; 4th, £20; 5th, £15 Rosettes to 10th Place Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office.
