Please state HOYS ID numbers and BSPS/ NPS/ PUK/ TSR Registration numbers for Owners, Riders and Ponies on your Entry Form. (For HOYS ID numbers please contact Grandstand Media on 024 7685 8205) 2. This Show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society (B.S.P.S. 07/18) and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in B.S.P.S. Classes, whether or not members of the B.S.P.S. are subject to the Constitution and Rules of the B.S.P.S. including the disciplinary procedures and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the B.S.P.S. For Horse of the Year Show qualifiers, Horse of the Year show rules take precedence. These can be downloaded from www.hoys.co.uk. 3. Owners and riders must be B.S.P.S., NPS, P(UK) or The Showing Register Members and the pony registered with the B.S.P.S., NPS, P(UK) or The Showing Register, and a valid JMB number lodged with that society to compete (in Classes 96 to 99) with qualifications for the Horse of the Year Show. 4. Animals may NOT compete in the 153cms, and Intermediate WH classes at the same Show in the same section. 5. A Special Rosette will be awarded to the highest placed Member from B.S.P.S. Area 4b in ALL Classes - Eligible competitors must wear a GREEN armband. 6. DECLARATIONS to be made, 30 minutes before the class. Jumping in catalogue order. Qualifiers: a) Horse of the Year Show Qualifier 2018. Classes 96 to 99 are qualifiers for Horse of the Year Show, NEC, Birmingham, to be held from Wednesday 3rd to Sunday 7th October 2018. Only one pony in each class qualifies. The highest placed (not already qualified) from the first five ponies placed in each class will qualify. Qualification will be verified by Horse of the Year Show Office. Marks will be awarded in the following way: Phase 1 (70 Marks): Jumping 50 marks, style with jumping 20 marks Phase 2 (30 Marks): Conformation, type and freedom of action 20 marks, manners and way of going 10 marks In the event of equality the total mark from phase 1 will take precedence, followed by the Manners mark, and then the Conformation, type and freedom of action mark. b) The Blue Riband Pony of The Year - The first and second placed ponies in Classes 96 to 99 will qualify, provided the pony is owned, registered and ridden by a B.S.P.S. Member. c) The B.S.P.S. Challenge - All summer qualifying shows that are affiliated to the B.S.P.S. are qualifiers for the "The B.S.P.S. Challenge". Animals may enter both the B.S.P.S. Blue Riband of the Year and the B.S.P.S Challenge. Animals must have qualified for the Challenge by attending any B.S.P.S. affiliated Show and competed in the appropriate class. Ponies must not have qualified for the 2018 Horse of the Year Show. If a pony qualifies for the Horse of the Year Show it will forfeit it's qualification for the BSPS Challenge. d) B.S.P.S. Black Country Saddles Rider of the Year - The Best Rider in each of the following Open classes at all B.S.P.S. Affiliated Shows (Classes 96-99) will be awarded a Best Rider Card and qualify for the final at the Summer Championships Show. e) 2018 B.S.P.S. Championships to be held at Arena UK - First and second prize winners in Classes 97-99 will qualify provided the animal is registered in accordance with B.S.P.S. Rule 23 and ridden by a B.S.P.S. member. From Class 96, the first, second and third will qualify. f) B.S.P.S. Binks Family Champion of Champions - The winner of Class C100 qualifies for the B.S.P.S. www.handleyequestrian.co.uk g) TSR Riders Championships - classes 96, 97, 98 and 99 are qualifiers for the 2018 TSR Riders Regional Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Regional Finals Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter the final. The Rider Qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals. 1st & 2nd Riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. h) The NPS/Rivervalley Open Working Hunter Pony National Championship. Classes 96 to 99 final at NPS Summer Championships 2018, 31st July - 2nd August 2018, at Three Counties Showground Malvern. ENTRY FEES: LAS Members £38 Non-Members £44 (These fees include a £12 Horse of the Year Show contribution) PRIZE MONEY: 1st, £40; 2nd, £35; 3rd, £25; 4th, £20; 5th, £15 Rosettes to 10th Place CLASS DESCRIPTION |
