For Ponies please state HOYS ID numbers and the pony's Breed Society Registration Number on the Entry Form, (this is not their NPS/ BSPS/ PUK /TSR number). For Connemaras, ponies can be registered with either BCPS or CPBS but must be registered correctly as adults (ie not on a G3, M3 or S3 registration) please state which Society on the Entry Form. For Owners and Riders please state HOYS ID numbers and BSPS/ NPS/ PUK/ TSR or Breed Society Registration numbers on your Entry Form. Horse of the Year Show Mountain & Moorland Working Hunter Pony Championship Qualifier 2018 The following class is a qualifier for the Mountain & Moorland Working Hunter Pony of the Year Championship, N.E.C., Birmingham, Wednesday 3rd to Sunday 7th October 2018. This class is open to Mountain and Moorland stallions, mares and geldings, four years old and over, to be registered in, and complying with the showing requirements of, the main body of their respective stud books. Ponies must be within the correct height stipulations for their height section however ponies must not exceed the height limits as stipulated by the relevant breed societies. Riders of stallions must have obtained their 12th Birthday (small breeds) or 14th birthday (large breeds) before 1st January in the current year. These classes will be run in accordance with the general rules as set out in this rule book. The highest placed pony not already qualified from the first three will qualify to compete at Horse of the Year Show 2018. Riders and Owners must be members of their respective Breed Society, NPS, Ponies (UK), The Showing Register or BSPS. To be run under the rules of the Horse of the Year Show. Copies can be obtained from www.hoys.co.uk Judges may only judge one qualifying competition in the current year. Marks to be awarded as follows: Phase 1 (70 Marks): Jumping points 50 marks, Style with jumping 20 marks Phase 2 (30 Marks): Breed, type & conformation 20 marks, Individual show & manners 10 marks In the event of equality the total mark from the Jumping Phase will take precedence, followed by the Individual Show & Manners Mark, and then the Breed Type & Conformation Mark. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show Office. Jumping Course Guidelines Mountain & Moorland Working Hunter ponies must jump a 12 fence track. Please note the fence height guidelines shown below which must be enforced for each section. JMB certificates are not required to enter this qualifier. 3. ON THE DAY, declarations to be made to the Ancaster Ring Steward, 45 minutes before the Class and ponies to jump in catalogue order. 4. This is a WPCS performance sire rating show. Qualifiers: a) Horse of the Year Show Qualifier 2018 - Classes 152, 153, 154 and 155 are qualifiers for Horse of the Year Show, to be held from Wednesday 3rd to Sunday 7th October 2018 at the NEC Birmingham. The highest placed horse/pony (not already qualified) from the first three in each class will qualify. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office. N.B. Ponies that qualify for this Championship at Horse of the Year Show 2018 must hold a valid JMB Full Height or Annual Certificate, a copy of which must be enclosed at the time of entry to Horse of the Year Show. JMB certificates are not required to enter this qualifier." Riders and Owners must be members of their respective Breed Society, NPS, Ponies (UK), The Showing Register or BSPS. b) NPS / TopSpec M&M Working Hunter Pony National Championships - Classes 152-155 will qualify for the final at NPS Summer Championships 2018, 31st July - 2nd August 2018, at Three Counties Showground Malvern. Owner's membership cards must be shown in the ring to receive the qualification. c) TSR Riders Championships - classes 152, 153, 154 and 155 are a qualifiers for the 2018 TSR Riders Regional Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Regional Finals Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter the final. The Rider Qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals. 1st & 2nd Riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. d) The British Show Pony Society will be awarding a rosette to the highest placed junior rider (under 18) in each height category of The British Show Pony Society Mountain & Moorland Working Hunter Pony of the Year qualifiers. ENTRY FEES: LAS Members £38 Non-Members £44 (These fees include a £12 Horse of the Year Show contribution) PRIZE MONEY: 1st, £40; 2nd, £35; 3rd, £25; 4th, £20; 5th, £15 Rosettes to 10th place CLASS DESCRIPTION |
