MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND LEAD REIN & FIRST RIDDEN Horse of the Year Show Qualifiers Judges Conformation Judge: Mr I Dickinson BOLTON Performance Judge: Mrs J Godden BATTLE Conditions: 1. For Ponies please state HOYS ID numbers and the pony's Breed Society Registration Number on the Entry Form, (this is not their NPS/ BSPS/ PUK /TSR number). For Owners and Riders please state HOYS ID numbers and BSPS/ NPS/ PUK/ TSR or Breed society Registration numbers on your Entry Form. (For HOYS ID numbers please contact Grandstand Media on 024 7685 8205) Classes 139, 140 and C141 will be judged under the Rules of Horse of the Year Show. 2. Horse of the Year Show Colne Mountain & Moorland Lead Rein Pony of the Year Qualifier 2018 Class 139 is a qualifier for the Colne Mountain & Moorland Lead Rein Pony of the Year, N.E.C., Birmingham, Wednesday 3rd to Sunday 7th October 2018. This class is open to Mountain and Moorland Mares and Geldings four years old and over registered in the main body of their respective Stud Books. Ponies not to exceed 122cm (12.0hh) however ponies must not exceed the height limits as stipulated by the relevant breed societies. Riders must have attained their 3rd birthday by the day of competition, but must not have attained their 9th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. The highest placed pony not already qualified from the first three will qualify to compete at Horse of the Year Show 2018. Riders and Owners must be members of their respective Breed Society, NPS, Ponies (UK), The Showing Register or BSPS. 3. Horse of the Year Show Mountain & Moorland First Ridden Pony of the Year Qualifier 2018 Class 140 is a qualifier for the Mountain & Moorland First Ridden Pony of the Year, N.E.C., Birmingham, Wednesday 3rd to Sunday 7th October 2018. This class is open to Mountain and Moorland Mares and Geldings four years old and over registered in the main body of their respective Stud Books. Ponies not to exceed 128cm (12.2hh) however ponies must not exceed the height limits as stipulated by the relevant breed societies. Riders must have attained their 3rd by the day of competition and not have attained their 12th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. The highest placed pony not already qualified from the first three will qualify to compete at Horse of the Year Show 2018. Riders and Owners must be members of their respective Breed Society, NPS, Ponies (UK), The Showing Register, or BSPS. 4. Class 139 and Class 140 to be run under the rules of the Horse of the Year Show. Copies can be obtained from www.hoys.co.uk Judges may only judge one qualifying competition in the current year. Marks will be awarded in the following way: Show, freedom of action: 50 maximum Breed type and conformation: 50 maximum In the case of equality, the pony with the highest show, freedom of action mark will be deemed the winner. If there is still equality at this point, then the judges' decision will be final. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show Office. 5. A Special Rosette will be awarded to the highest placed Member from B.S.P.S. Area 4b in ALL Classes - Eligible competitors must wear a GREEN armband. Qualifiers: a) Horse of the Year Show 2018. Classes 139 and 140 are qualifiers for Horse of the Year Show 2018, NEC Birmingham Wednesday 3rd to Sunday 7th October 2018. From each class, the highest place pony not already qualified from the first three will qualify to compete at the Horse of the Year Show. N.B. - Ponies that qualify for this Championship at Horse of the Year Show 2018 must hold a valid JMB Full Height or Annual Certificate, a copy of which must be enclosed at the time of entry to Horse of the Year Show. JMB Certificates are not required to enter this Qualifier. b) TSR Riders Championships - classes 139 and 140 are qualifiers for the 2018 TSR Riders Regional Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Regional Finals Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter the final. The Rider Qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals. 1st & 2nd Riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. c) This is a WPCS performance sire rating show.
