YOUNG BEEF CATTLE HANDLING COMPETITION Sponsored by The Lincolnshire Agricultural Society acknowledges the generous Support and Sponsorship of the Prize Money in the Young Beef Cattle Handling Classes by Riseholme College, a part of Bishop Burton College. Judge: Mr A Clark SHEFFIELD Judging will take place on Thursday 21st June at 10.00 hours Conditions: 1 Any beef animal from the female Pure Breed or female Commercial Beef Classes are to be used in this class, no bulls are permitted under any circumstances. Please note that the animal should match the size of the Handler. 2 In these classes it is the handler that is judged and not the animal. Normal showing attire must be worn during judging. No rosettes to be displayed in the ring. 3 Owners of the cattle must ensure that the young person is capable of controlling the animal being shown. Children must always be under the supervision of and accompanied by a competent adult. 4 The judge has the authority to ask any exhibitor not having sufficient control of his/her animal to leave the ring. No entry fee, entries to be made on Show days. A sign up sheet will be displayed at the Livestock Office in the Livestock Lines. Qualifiers: a) This show is a qualifier for the East of England Agricultural Society Winter Stock Festival YOUNG STOCK PERSON OF THE YEAR, with the finals taking place at the East of England Showground on Saturday 1st December. Qualifying competitors to be between the ages of 15 years and 21 years on the day of the show and be placed 1st or 2nd in classes 335 and 336. A qualifying rosette will be provided for each competitor by the East of England Agricultural Society and a registration card which must be completed and returned by the competitor to the East of England Agricultural Society. Full details of the finals will be sent to all registered and qualified exhibitors by the East of England Agricultural Society. Prizes: 1st £20, 2nd £15, 3rd £10, 4th £5 Rosettes to 6th place.
