Conditions: 1. Please state BSHA Registration numbers for Owners, Riders and Horses on your Entry Form. (If not know please contact BSHA on 01462 437770). 2. Held under the rules of the British Show Horse Association. Competitors and Horses must be registered or have temporary membership with a Day Ticket. Horses registered with the Association must be Owned, Exhibited and Ridden by current BSHA Members. Riders must be 15 years of age or older. Registration numbers must be quoted on the entry form. 3. A Novice is a Show Horse that has not won a ridden first prize of £25 or more, or more than a total of £100 in any Working class, which were Affiliated to the Association at home or abroad, prior to 1st January in the current year. Winning as a four year old are exempt unless that four year old has won an Open Working Class of £25 or more. Snaffle bridles may be worn for Novice classes. Novice animals must be Registered with BSHA or Exhibitors must have purchased a 'Day Ticket' in order to compete in Novice Classes. Qualifiers: a) This Show is a Qualifier for THE BLUE CHIP & IRISH DRAUGHT HORSE SOCIETY (GB) £2,000 CHALLENGE. The highest placed horse (not already qualified) from each of the following classes 66 and 67 that is registered or eligible for registration on the Irish Draught or Irish Draught Sport Horse Registers, i.e. with a minimum of 25% proven Irish Draught breeding, will qualify for the Final of the Blue Chip & IDHS (GB) Challenge. Horses need not be registered with the Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) to qualify, but MUST be on the IDHS (GB) registers by the time of the Championship which will be held at the IDHS (GB) Annual Breed Show on 19th & 20th August 2017 at Arena UK, Grantham, Lincolnshire. NB: A horse may only qualify for the Final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered. Each Qualifier will receive a card and a £10 voucher from Blue Chip. Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.com to inform the IDHS (GB) that they have qualified for the Final. In the Final, the Champion will be awarded £1,000 prize money, a Trophy and a Blue Chip rug. The Reserve Champion will be awarded £500 and 3rd to 7th will be awarded £100 each. In addition, the highest placed Pure Bred will be awarded a Trophy and £100 and the highest placed 158cm (15.2hh) and under will receive a Trophy and £50. *Amateur Produced and Ridden Horse will receive a Silver Salver and a rug. b) The Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) will award Special Incentive Cards to the highest placed Irish Draught Pure Bred or Irish Draught Sport Horse in classes 66 and 67. To be eligible, exhibits must be registered with or overstamped by the IDHS (GB) on their Irish Draught Breed Registers or Irish Draught Sport Horse Registers. Registration numbers to be stated on the entry form. c) Class 67 is a qualifier for The SEIB Working Horse Show Horse of the Year Final, to be held at the BSHA National Championship Show. The two highest placed horses on the top five, not already qualified , will qualify for the final; no horse placed lower than 5th will qualify. Any Horse which is a grade B Showjumper, Intermediate Eventer, or above as at the 1st January on the current year, is not eligible to compete in any Working Show Horse class. A Rider may ride up to two Horses in the jumping phase but must then select one Horse to take through to the Ride and Conformation phases (if required). No change of Rider is allowed.
