COLOURED RIDDEN HORSES AND PONIES Horse of the Year Show Qualifiers Judges: Ridden: Miss V Eggleston BOLTON Conformation: Mr C Lawton STOKE ON TRENT Conditions: 1. Please state HOYS ID numbers and CHAPS (UK) / TGCA / TSR Registration numbers for Owners, Riders and Horses on your Entry Form. (For HOYS ID numbers please contact Grandstand Media on 02476 858205). 2. This competition is open to mares, geldings and CHAPS (UK) graded stallions, four years old or over, to be registered in, and complying with the showing requirements of, the main body of the stud books of the Coloured Horse and Pony Society CHAPS (UK) or the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association (TGCA). Stallions are required to wear CHAPS (UK) stallion discs in order to compete. All Riders and owners must be Members of the Coloured Horse and Pony Society, The Showing Register or the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association. For height restricted exhibits a valid JMB number must be lodged with the respective society. These classes will be run in accordance with the general rules as set out in the Horse of the Year Show rulebook, a copy of which can be downloaded from www.hoys.co.uk. Marks will be awarded in the following way: Ride/Performance - 50 Marks Maximum Conformation, Movement & Quality - 50 Marks Maximum. In the case of equality, the horse with the highest Ride/Performance mark will be deemed the winner. If there is still equality at this point, then the judges' decision will be final. These classes are qualifying class for Horse of the Year Show, NEC, Birmingham, 4th - 8th October 2017. Qualification will not pass below 5th place. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office. Lead Rein entries are not permitted in any of these classes. 3. Only one exhibit may qualify per class. If the 1st placed animal has already qualified, the qualifier may pass down to the highest placed exhibit standing to 5th place only, who has not already qualified. 4. No spurs when ridden by a junior rider (under 18 years), or by any rider competing in a restricted height section. All ages taken as at 1st January in the current year. 5. All exhibits will require a height certificate to compete in the height restricted qualifying classes and to obtain a Horse of the Year Show Competition Number. For height restricted exhibits a valid JMB number must be lodged with the respective society. 6. Horses/ponies are to be produced at Horse of the Year Show in the same type category in which they qualified. 7. Failure to comply with ANY of the Qualifying Rules will result in the forfeit of the qualifying place. 8. The 'pull-in' or 'no pull-in' system is at the discretion of the judges on the day. The judges must make the decision prior to the commencement of the first class and stewards to be instructed accordingly. If 'no-pull' is used, competitors will be asked to line up in any order from the initial presentation. Qualifiers: a) Classes 81-84 are qualifiers for Horse of the Year Show, 4th - 8th October 2017. In Horse of the Year Show Qualifiers Horse of the Year Show rules take precedence.Please ensure you are also fully aware of Horse of the Year Show's own rules which can be seen on http://www.hoys.co.uk/competitor-zone/ - download rules before entering these classes. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office. b) 'The Life of Riley' Supreme Ridden Coloured Championship. The final to be held at the North of England Summer Pony Show on 9th July 2017, kindly sponsored by Hayley and Karen Sankey. (Prize Money at the final 1st £1000, 2nd £400, 3rd £100, 4th £50, 5th £25, 6th £25, 7th £25, 8th £25, Sashes to the Champion & Reserve, Rosettes to all other prize winners and finalists). Only the Champion and Reserve Champion will qualify from C84. Qualify and enter ANYof the Regional Finals Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter the final. The Rider Qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals. 1st & 2nd Riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. d) CHAPS UK show affiliation number 15045. e) P(UK) Qualification for the BSPA Finals 2017 and Winter Classic 2018 (Ponies U.K. affiliation number 017/A17/8014) 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed ponies from classes 81, 82, 83 and 84 will qualify for the P(UK) Commanchee Ridden Piebald/Skewbald Horse/Pony Championship. Qualification Tickets will be awarded in the ring. Competitors in qualifying positions ARE NOT required to become a member in order to compete in the P(UK) Championship Finals.
