| MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND PONIES IN-HAND Judge: Mrs M Taylor SELBY Conditions: 1. Please state the ponies Breed Society Registration Number on the Entry Form, (this is not their NPS/ BSPS/ PUK /TSR number). Connemaras may be registered with either the BCPS or CPBS but please state which one on the Entry Form. 2. Entries must be registered in the main body of their approved respective Breed Stud Books (part breeds are not eligible) and both the Breed and Breed Society Registration Number must be given on the Entry Form. 3. Classes 121 to SuC137 will be Judged under National Pony Society Rules and competitors must conform to the Regulations of their respective Breed Societies. 4. All Brood Mares must be four years old or over and all foal ages must conform to the relevant Breed Society Rules. Foals must accompany their dam into the ring and be led alongside the mare as much as possible. 5. Stallions and Colts two years old and over must hold a current Stallion License, unless otherwise governed by their individual breed society. 6. Handlers of Stallions and Colts must have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January of the current year. Qualifiers: a) NPS M&M In-Hand Silver Medal Rosette Championships Sponsored by Kilmannan Stud A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned by an NPS Qualifying or Life member in the M&M In Hand section. The Sponsor's Rosette is also awarded to the pony receiving the qualification. Membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or the qualification. A valid membership card must be in the rider's/handler's possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner's membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships. Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of the Silver Medal Rosette Championship to be held at the NPS Summer Championship Show 1st - 3rd August 2017. The NPS/HIGHBROOK STUD M&M In Hand Summer Championship These classes are open to pure bred registered M&M ponies in the main body of their studbook. Owner's membership cards must be shown in the ring to receive qualifications. Foals are not eligible. b) P(UK) Qualification for the BSPA Finals 2017 and Winter Classic 2018 (Ponies U.K. affiliation number 017/A17/8014) 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed ponies from classes 121, 123, 124 and 126, 129, 131, 132 and 134 will qualify for the 2017 Glyn Greenwood M&M In Hand Championship. Qualification Tickets will be awarded in the ring. Competitors in qualifying positions ARE NOT required to become a member in order to compete in the P(UK) Championship Finals. c) TSR Riders Championships - classes 121, 123, 124, 126, 129, 131, 132 and 134 are qualifiers for the 2017 TSR Riders Regional Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Regional Finals Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter the final. The Handler Qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals. The two highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify in any In Hand Class. Handlers must have their cards signed in the ring by the judge/steward, cards are available for FREE from the TSR Website. Full details at www.theshowingregister.co.uk. d) Spiller / Equifest Mountain & Moorland In-Hand - The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified in classes 121, 123, 124, 126, 129, 131, 132 and 134 will qualify for the Equifest Championships to be held at the East of England Showground on the 16th - 20th August 2017. e) NPS Area 4 Northern Breeders Final - The Supreme Champion and Reserve from SuC137 will qualify for the NPS Area 4 Northern Breeders Final to be held at the NPS Area 4 North of England Show on Monday 28th August 2017. Entry to the final is free.
