Conditions:
1. For classes 102, 103 and 104 please state HOYS ID numbers and BSPS/ NPS/ PUK/ TSR Registration numbers for Owners, Riders and Ponies on your Entry Form. (For HOYS ID numbers please contact Grandstand Media on 02476 858205).

2. This Show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society (B.S.P.S. 2/17) and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in B.S.P.S. Classes, whether or not members of the B.S.P.S. are subject to the Constitution and Rules of the B.S.P.S. including the disciplinary procedures and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the B.S.P.S. For Horse of the Year Show qualifiers, Horse of the Year show rules take precedence. These can be downloaded from www.hoys.co.uk.

3. Owners and riders must be B.S.P.S., NPS, P(UK) or The Showing Register Members and the pony registered with the B.S.P.S., NPS, P(UK) or The Showing Register, and a valid JMB number lodged with that society to compete in classes with qualifications for Horse of the Year Show (classes 102, 103 & 104).

4. B.S.P.S. Rosettes will be awarded to the Champion and Reserve Champion provided the pony is registered and ridden by a B.S.P.S. Member.

5. All Lincolnshire competitors should wear BLUE armbands in the following classes to qualify for C111.

6. A Special Rosette will be awarded to the highest placed Member
from B.S.P.S. Area 4b in ALL Classes - Eligible competitors must wear a GREEN armband.

Qualifiers:
a) Kathleen Wood Children's Riding Pony Horse of the Year Show Qualifier 2017, Classes 102, 103 & 104 are Qualifiers for the Horse of the Year Show, NEC, Birmingham, to be held from Wednesday 4th to Sunday 8th October 2017. These classes will be run in accordance with the general rules set out in the Horse of the Year Show rulebook, a copy of which can be downloaded from www.hoys.co.uk. The highest placed (not already qualified) from the first five ponies in each class will qualify. Qualification will be verified by Horse of the Year Show Office.

Marks will be awarded in the following way:
Manners and way of going- 50 marks maximum
Conformation, type & freedom of action- 50 marks maximum

In the case of equality, the pony with the highest manners and way of going mark will be deemed the winner. If there is still equality at this point, then the judge's decision will be final.

b) The Blue Riband Pony of the Year. The first and second placed ponies in classes 102, 103, 104 will qualify provided the pony is owned, registered and ridden by a B.S.P.S. Member. In classes 106 & 108 the pony must be registered before the date of the Show to compete & be ridden by a B.S.P.S. member in order to qualify.

c) The B.S.P.S. CHALLENGE.
All summer qualifying shows that are affiliated to the B.S.P.S. are qualifiers for the "The B.S.P.S. Challenge". Animals must qualify for the Challenge by attending any B.S.P.S affiliated Show and competing in the appropriate class. Ponies must not have qualified for the 2017 Horse of the Year Show in the appropriate class.

d) B.S.P.S. Championships to be held at Arena UK - 1st and 2nd
prize winners in classes 102 to 104, 106 and 108; the 1st, 2nd & 3rd placings from Class 106 and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th prizewinners in class 101 will qualify provided the animal is registered in accordance with B.S.P.S. Rule 23 and ridden by a B.S.P.S. member.

e) B.S.P.S. Black Country Saddles Rider of the Year. The Best Rider in each of the following Open classes at all B.S.P.S. Affiliated Shows will be awarded a Best Rider Card and qualify for the final at the Summer Championships Show.

f) This Show is a qualifier for the "B.S.P.S. Premier League". The
1st, 2nd and 3rd placed ponies in classes 106 and 108 to qualify.

g) This Show is a qualifier for The B.S.P.S. Binks Family Champion of Champions. The Winner from class C105 will qualify.

h) This Show is a qualifier for The B.S.P.S. Champion of Champions. The Winner from class C110 will qualify.

i) This show is a qualifier for the The 'Colosso Family' Supreme Mini Pony Championship. The final to be held at the North of England Summer Pony Show on 8th July 2017 kindly sponsored by Kim and Adrian Colosso Family (Prize Money at the final 1st £1000, 2nd £400, 3rd £100, 4th £50, 5th £25, 6th £25, 7th £25, 8th £25, Sashes to the Champion & Reserve, Rosettes to all other prize winners and finalists.)

The Mini Show Pony Champion will qualify from C110. If the
Champion has already qualified then the Reserve Champion will go
forward. Only the Champion or Reserve Champion will qualify.

j) P(UK) Qualification for the BSPA Finals 2017 and Winter Classic 2018 (Ponies U.K. affiliation number 017/A17/8014)
1st, 2nd and 3rd placed ponies from classes 102 to 104, 106, and 108 will qualify for the P(UK) Brinteton Ridden Show Pony Championship. Qualification Tickets will be awarded in the ring. Competitors in qualifying positions ARE NOT required to become a member in order to compete in the P(UK) Championship Finals.

k) TSR Riders Championships - classes 102, 103, 104, 106 and 108 are qualifiers for the 2017 TSR Riders Regional Finals. Qualify and enter ANYof the Regional Finals Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter the final. The Rider Qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals. 1st & 2nd Riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring.
