MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND PONIES IN-HAND Judge: Mrs C M Whiteley BRAINTREE Conditions: 1. Entries must be registered in the main body of their approved respective Breed Stud Books (part breeds are not eligible) and both the Breed and Breed Society Registration Number must be given on the Entry Form. 2. Classes 121 to SuC137 will be Judged under National Pony Society Rules and competitors must conform to the Regulations of their respective Breed Societies. 3. All Brood Mares must be four years old or over and all foal ages must conform to the relevant Breed Society Rules. Foals must accompany their dam into the ring and be led alongside the mare as much as possible. 4. Stallions and Colts two years old and over must hold a current Stallion License, unless otherwise governed by their individual breed society. 5. Handlers of Stallions and Colts must have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January of the current year. Qualifiers: a) NPS M&M In-Hand Silver Medal Rosette Championships Sponsored by Kilmannan Stud A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned by an NPS Qualifying or Life member in the M&M In Hand section. The Sponsor's Rosette is also awarded to the pony receiving the qualification. Membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or the qualification. A valid membership card must be in the rider's/handler's possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner's membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships. Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of the Silver Medal Rosette Championship to be held at the NPS Summer Championship Show 4th - 6th August 2015. The NPS/LEYHILLS M&M In Hand Summer Championship These classes are open to pure bred registered M&M ponies in the main body of their studbook. Owner's membership cards must be shown in the ring to receive qualifications. Foals are not eligible. b) P(UK) Qualification for the Winter Classic 2016, Supreme Championships 2015 and Equifest 2015 (Ponies U.K. affiliation number 015/W15/7319) 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed ponies from classes 121, 123, 124 and 126, 129, 131, 132 and 134 will qualify for the 2016 Glyn Greenwood Memorial Mountain and Moorland In Hand Championship. Qualification Tickets will be awarded in the ring, Golden Tickets will be awarded to Winner/Champion in each affiliated section and placing's will be confirmed by results sent in by the show secretary. Competitors in qualifying positions, who are not current members of P(UK) must become a Annual Adult Member before time of entry. c) The 'Kellythorpe Stud' Supreme In Hand Championship. The final to be held at the North of England In Hand and Mountain & Moorland Championship Show on 12th July 2015 kindly sponsored by the Leeman Family.
