BRINETON COLNE MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND LEAD REIN & FIRST RIDDEN Horse of the Year Show Qualifiers Judges: Performance: Miss S Turner STOWMARKET Conformation: Mrs H Turner STOWMARKET Conditions: Classes 139 to C141 will be judged under the Rules of Horse of the Year Show. 1. Horse of the Year Show Colne Mountain & Moorland Lead Rein Pony Championship Qualifier 2014 Class 139 is a qualifier for the Colne Mountain & Moorland Lead Rein Pony of the Year Championship, N.E.C., Birmingham, Wednesday 8th - Wednesday 12th October 2014. This class is open to Mountain and Moorland Mares and Geldings four years old and over registered in the main body of their respective Stud Books. Ponies not to exceed 122cm (12.0hh) however ponies must not exceed the height limits as stipulated by the relevant breed societies. Riders must have attained their 3rd birthday by the day of competition, but must not have attained their 9th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. The highest placed pony not already qualified from the first three will qualify to compete at Horse of the Year Show 2014. Riders and Owners must be members of their respective Breed Society, NPS, Ponies (UK), The Showing Register or BSPS. 2. Horse of the Year Show Brineton/Kare-Plus Mountain & Moorland First Ridden Pony Championship Qualifier 2014 Class 140 is a qualifier for the Brineton/Kare-Plus Mountain & Moorland First Ridden Pony of the Year Championship, N.E.C., Birmingham, Wednesday 8th - Sunday 12th October 2014. This class is open to Mountain and Moorland Mares and Geldings four years old and over registered in the main body of their respective Stud Books. Ponies not to exceed 128cm (12.2hh) however ponies must not exceed the height limits as stipulated by the relevant breed societies. Riders must have attained their 3rd by the day of competition and not have attained their 12th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. The highest placed pony not already qualified from the first three will qualify to compete at Horse of the Year Show 2014. Riders and Owners must be members of their respective Breed Society, NPS, Ponies (UK), The Showing Register, or BSPS. 3. Class 139 and 140 to be run under the rules of the Horse of the Year Show. Copies can be obtained from www.hoys.co.uk Judges may only judge one qualifying competition in the current year. Marks to be awarded 50/50. In the event of equality, the pony with the highest Show/Freedom of Action mark will be deemed the winner. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show Office. 4. A Special Rosette will be awarded to the highest placed Member from B.S.P.S. Area 4b in ALL Classes - Eligible competitors must wear a GREEN armband. Split Classes 1. Where there are more than 20 entries forward in a class, judges may split the class into sections according to the circumstances on the day. 2. Each section must be marked and the top five ponies with the highest marks should go forward to a final judging. The marks are not to be displayed at this point and no rosettes awarded. 3. For the final judging the top ponies should be invited back into the ring and lined up in any order. No further show will be given. 4. The judges should then refer to their original marks. In the case of equality the pony with the highest show, freedom and action mark will be deemed the winner. If there still be equality at this point, then the judges' decision will be final. 5. The highest place animal (not already qualified) from the first three in the final judging will qualify for Horse of the Year Show, subject to verification of qualification from the Horse of the Year Show Office. Qualifiers: a) Horse of the Year Show 2014. Classes 139 and 140 are qualifiers for Horse of the Year Show 2013, NEC Birmingham Wednesday 8th - Sunday 12th October 2014. From each class, the highest place pony not already qualified from the first three will qualify to compete at the Horse of the Year Show. N.B. - Ponies that qualify for this Championship at Horse of the Year Show 2014 must hold a valid JMB Full Height or Annual Certificate, a copy of which must be enclosed at the time of entry to Horse of the Year Show. JMB Certificates are not required to enter this Qualifier. b) P(UK) Summer Championships (Ponies U.K. affiliation number 014/S14/7121) From class 139, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd will qualify for the Lobster Pot Mountain & Moorland Leading Rein Championship. No Qualification Cards will be awarded in the ring, placings will be confirmed by results sent in by the Show Secretary. c) P(UK) Summer Championships (Ponies U.K. affiliation number 014/S14/7121) From class 140, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd will qualify for the Brineton Mountain & Moorland First Ridden Championship. No Qualification Cards will be awarded in the ring, placings will be confirmed by results sent in by the Show Secretary. d) TSR Ridden M&M Riders Championships - The following classes 139 and 140 are qualifiers for the TSR Riders Championships. 1st & 2nd Riders qualify & can choose which final either TSR Gala Show 19th & 20th July, Onley EC, Rugby OR Wales and South West Riders final 6th Sept at SWPA Champs Show, Monmouth OR Scottish Riders Final 13th & 14th Sept Grand Slam Show Ingliston EC, Bishopstown. Full details at www.theshowingregister.co.uk . e) A Special Rosette will be awarded to the highest placed Member from BSPS Area 4B in ALL classes, eligible competitors must wear a GREEN Armband. h) This is a WPCS performance sire rating show. ENTRY FEES LAS Members Non-Members £35 £41 (These fees include a £11 Horse of the Year Show contribution). PRIZE MONEY 1st, £35; 2nd, £30; 3rd, £25; 4th, £20; 5th, £15 Rosettes to 10th place.
