THE LINCOLNSHIRE FLEECE COMPETITION

To be judged on the morning of Wednesday 21st June (THE FLEECE COMPETITION WILL BE STAGED IN THE SHEEP LINES.)

Conditions
1. Each competitor must be registered wool producers.
2. A competitor may enter any number of the classes, but can only submit two fleeces per class.
3. For the purpose of the competition the fleeces must be neatly rolled and submitted in bags.
4. The bag must be labelled by the competitor. Each label must show clearly:
Name of Competitor
Address of Competitor
Class entered
Breed or Cross
British Wool Marketing Board Registration number
ONE LABEL should be placed inside the container; THE OTHER secured on the outside.
5. All exhibits must be delivered to the Steward of the section by 5.30 p.m. on Tuesday 19th June, or they will be too late for competition. Exhibits should not arrive before 19th June, and should be removed from the Showground between 4.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Thursday 21st June. The Society will not be responsible for the safe delivery or keeping of the fleeces. Any fleeces not collected will be taken to CWG depot at Stamford and due payment will be forwarded.
6. If there are fewer than 5 entries for any particular class the number of prizes awarded will be at the judge's discretion.
7. Fleeces that are artifically stained or artificially coloured or fastened with any form of twine will be eliminated.
8. The competition will be judged on a points system and the decision of the Judge is final.
9. It is the competitor's responsibility to ensure that fleeces are entered in the correct class. The Judge will judge a fleece in the most appropriate class.
10. Fleeces must be from the 2012 wool clip.

ENTRY FEES
EXHIBITORS ENTERING THE LIVE SHEEP CLASSES ARE ENTITLED TO A FREE ENTRY FOR EVERY BREED OF SHEEP BEING ENTERED AT THE LINCOLNSHIRE SHOW.
IF NO LIVE SHEEP ENTRIES ARE SUBMITTED -
Members £3.00 and Non-Members £6.00

PRIZE MONEY - 1st £20; 2nd £10; 3rd £5.
